He co-founded the influential rock band Sentimiento Muerto and was a leading member of bands such as Dermis Tatú and PAN. Troconis significantly contributed to the Venezuelan rock scene in the 1980s and 90s. He organized concert cycles like 'Miércoles Insólitos' to promote local bands and founded independent record labels to support the music community. After his death on November 17, 1999, he became a cult figure in Venezuelan rock.
