Carlos Fernández Solís, known as Carlitos de Murias, was an Asturian folk singer born on January 10, 1924, in Murias. He gained recognition after winning a song contest in 1948. Throughout the 1950s, he became one of the key figures in the 'tonada' music scene, collaborating with various artists from Ayer. He recorded numerous traditional songs and participated in significant folklore projects, including recordings made with ethnomusicologist Alan Lomax in 1952. Carlitos' contributions have been preserved in the traditional music archives.
