Carlos Horacio Salinas, known as 'Loco', is a former Argentine footballer born on February 20, 1956, in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. He played as a midfielder, starting his career at San Martín de Tucumán and briefly at Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy. He joined River Plate in 1974, winning two Primera División titles. His most notable success came at Boca Juniors, where he was instrumental in winning the Copa Libertadores titles in 1977 and 1978, scoring key goals including those against River Plate and Deportivo Cali. He also played in Colombia and returned to Argentina later in his career.
