Carlos Eduardo Rovira is an Argentine politician born on February 18, 1956, in Posadas. He was a member of the Justicialist Party and served as the governor of Misiones Province until 2007, leading the Front for the Renewal of Concord. Rovira studied chemical engineering and began his political career as the Mayor of Posadas in 1995. He was elected governor in 1999 and re-elected in 2003 after forming a coalition to support his candidacy. Despite attempts to change the provincial constitution for re-election, his party lost a significant referendum in 2006.
