Born on May 12, 1956, in Madrid, he is a strong advocate of the anti-globalization movement, degrowth, direct democracy, and anarchism. Since its founding in 2006, Taibo has been a member of the editorial board of Sin Permiso and has contributed articles to Público. He is the author of over thirty books in Spanish and Galician, primarily focusing on contemporary democratic transitions in Central and Eastern Europe, and on general geopolitical issues.
