Carol Denison Frost, born on May 23, 1957, is an American isotope geologist and petrologist known for her research on the evolution of the continental crust and granite petrogenesis. With over thirty-five years of experience, she investigates the geologic history of the Wyoming Province and contributes to isotopic fingerprinting of natural waters related to energy production. Frost served as the Director of the Earth Sciences Division at the National Science Foundation from December 2014 to January 2018.
