Carsten Palmær, born December 13, 1946, in Stockholm, is a Swedish playwright and author. He is the son of editor and politician Gustav Johansson and lecturer Eva Palmær-Johansson, both involved in the Swedish Communist Party. Palmær wrote for Fria Proteatern's revues in the 1970s and 1980s and worked on the TV series Lorry. He is known for translating the songs of Russian actor and poet Vladimir Vysotsky with his brother and has collaborated on various theatrical works, showcasing his contributions to Swedish theater.
