Joseph D. "Cast" King was a country musician and songwriter known for his album "Saw Mill Man" released in 2005. With a baritone voice, his music explored themes of poverty and outlaws, reminiscent of Johnny Cash. A song from his album featured in the film Paranoid Park. Despite an earlier career with Sun Records in 1955, King's significant recording debut came later in life, largely due to encouragement from musician Matt Downer. King passed away from cancer at the age of 81 on December 13, 2007.
