Čedomir Čedo Minderović was a Yugoslav revolutionary, proletarian poet, and writer, born in Belgrade on October 31, 1912, and passed away in Delhi on January 16, 1966. He participated in the National Liberation Struggle and was a socio-political worker in the Socialist Republic of Serbia. Minderović authored some of the most famous Yugoslav revolutionary songs, including 'Budi se istok i zapad,' the 1936 strike anthem 'Himna zidara,' 'Jugoslavija,' and 'Steg Partije.' In 1946, he won a contest for the anthem of FNR Yugoslavia with 'Smelo smo pošli iz mraka i strave,' which was never officially adopted.
