A dedicated advocate for free software, she has been involved with the KDE community since 2004, contributing to usability projects and serving as a board member for KDE e.V. from 2009 to 2012. She holds a B.A. in Multimedia, an M.S. in Interaction Design & Information Architecture, and a PhD in Human-Centered Computing. Paul was also president of HacDC and received the Akademy Award in 2009 for her contributions to software usability.
