Celestí Alomar Mateu is a Mallorcan politician from PSIB-PSOE, who served as a deputy in the Parliament of the Balearic Islands during the V and VI legislatures and as a councilor in the Balearic government. He was a founder of the Socialist Party of the Islands in 1976. Alomar served as Director General of Tourism Strategy. He was a deputy from 1999 to 2003 and served as tourism councilor during that time, implementing projects like Ecotaxa. After 2003, he consulted for the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Tourism Organization.
