Ramazan Cem Gürdeniz (born March 24, 1958) is a Turkish military officer and author known for coining the term 'Mavi Vatan' (Blue Homeland). He was tried in the Balyoz case, where he received an 18-year sentence, but was later acquitted in a retrial due to false evidence. Gürdeniz stated that the Balyoz trials were politically motivated actions by the Gülen movement concerning the Eastern Mediterranean, asserting his connection to national strategic defense.
