She served as a congresswoman in Peru from 2006 to 2016 and currently holds the position of Sports Manager for Volleyball at the Universidad de San Martín de Porres. A prominent volleyball athlete, she achieved notable successes including a silver medal in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and multiple South American Championship titles. She also has a diploma in Small and Medium Enterprises and was part of the Executive Committee of the Peruvian Olympic Committee from 2013 to 2016.
