Mehmet Çetin Karamanbey was a Turkish filmmaker and journalist, born on August 26, 1922, in Çanakkale and passing away on December 12, 1995, in Istanbul. He began his film career in 1944, working in various roles including technician, assistant, and dubbing director. He made his directorial debut with the film 'Silik Çehreler' in 1947. In addition to filmmaking, Karamanbey engaged in journalism and advertising, and he also directed documentary films. He was the brother of filmmaker Metin Erksan and the father-in-law of Sezai Aydın.
