Cevdet Ahmetov (1917–1995) was a Crimean Tatar writer born in Limena village near the Black Sea. After finishing a 7-year school in Yalta, he studied at the Tatar Language and Literature faculty of the Crimean Pedagogical Institute. His education was interrupted by the Second World War. After the war, he wrote many stories, with notable collections including 'Ateş Başında' and 'Toplar Susqan Soñ'. Ahmetov's works often highlight the significance of children, filled with themes of mercy, loyalty, and kindness.
