Dr. Chandler McCuskey Brooks was an influential American physiologist, recognized for his extensive research on the interactions between the central nervous system and endocrine systems, as well as his work in electrophysiology of the heart. His academic contributions were significant enough to earn him a membership in the National Academy of Sciences. Additionally, he served as head of the physiology and pharmacology departments at the Long Island College of Medicine and was a Guggenheim fellow in Medicine & Health in 1945.
