Charles A. Didier is a prominent ecclesiastical leader born in 1935 in Ixelles, Belgium. He holds the distinction of being the first general authority of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chosen outside North America and the first French-speaking general authority. Didier served in various leadership roles since joining the Seventy in 1975, overseeing regions such as Western Europe, Canada, Utah, South America, Eastern Europe, and Brazil. He also led the general Sunday School from 1994 to 1995 and is a Belgian Air Force reserve officer.
