Charles Acheson, 7th Earl of Gosford, is a British peer and artist born on July 13, 1942. He served as a member of the House of Lords from 1966 until 1999. Following the death of his father, he succeeded to various titles, becoming Earl of Gosford among others. He was an ardent defender of native rights, having spoken once in the House of Lords. Beyond his peerage duties, he chaired the Artists' Union from 1976 to 1980 and is married to Lynette Redmond since 1983.
