Charles Denton Kemp (1911–1993) was an influential Australian economist and the founder of the Institute of Public Affairs (IPA). After studying at the University of Melbourne, he worked in various economic advisory roles, including personal assistant to Sir Herbert Gepp. Kemp's notable contributions included the 1944 economic strategy 'Looking Forward', praised by Robert Menzies. He published the IPA Review to share his economic ideas, which continues today. He was honored as CBE in 1959 and recognized posthumously through the IPA's annual C. D. Kemp lecture, reflecting his lasting impact.
