Charles S. 'Charlie' Devine (1928-2008) was a Newfoundland politician who represented Labrador West in the House of Assembly from 1962 to 1966. Born in St. John's, he initially worked in the family business and later as a civilian executive in the U.S. Air Force. After moving to Labrador, he became a statistician and founded The Aurora newspaper. Active in community service, Devine was president of the local Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club. He retired in St. John's, contributing to the Canadian Association of Retired Persons, and passed away at age 80.
