Charles Basil Foster (1923-2017) was an English-born Canadian publicist, newspaper editor, author, and songwriter. He served as a pilot in the RAF during WWII and worked with various Hollywood stars post-war. A prolific songwriter and writer, his notable contributions include articles for community newspapers and significant publications. He published three books about Canadians in Hollywood and his autobiography in 2013. Foster was also the original publicist for Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap. He lived in New Brunswick until his death at age 94.
