Charles Gary was an American Negro league third baseman who played for the Homestead Grays from 1948 to 1950. Born on June 1, 1920, in Selma, Alabama, he served in the United States Navy before joining the league. Gary contributed to the Homestead Grays during their championship-winning season in 1948 and continued to play for the team until 1950. He passed away at the age of 91 on June 4, 2011.
