Charles Ghigna, born on August 25, 1946, is an American poet, also known as Father Goose. He has authored over 5,000 poems and 100 books for both children and adults. Ghigna grew up in Queens, New York, and later moved to Florida. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University and began teaching creative writing at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. His first poetry book was published in 1989, followed by children's poetry books starting in 1992. Ghigna currently resides in Homewood, Alabama with his wife and son.
