Charles 'Chuck' Harrison (1931–2018) was a pioneering American industrial designer and educator notable for being the first African-American executive at Sears, Roebuck and Company. He joined the company in 1961, eventually managing its entire design group. Harrison was the creative force behind over 750 consumer products, including notable items like a portable hair dryer and the first plastic trash can. His most recognized work is the classic Model F View-Master, redesigned in 1958, which is widely appreciated for its innovation in consumer design.
