Charles Henry Jacobie (1928–1988) was an Afrikaner country singer known as the 'Singing Cattle Farmer' in the 1960s. He is regarded by many as the father of country music in South Africa. In April 1988, he was honored with a trophy at the Rand Show for his long career in the music industry. Later that same year, he passed away in Nelspruit due to a heart attack.
