Charles Denton "Tex" Watson, born December 2, 1945, is an American murderer and a key member of the Manson Family led by Charles Manson. On August 9, 1969, he was involved in the murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four others in Los Angeles. The following night, Watson participated in the murder of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca. He was convicted of murder and received the death penalty in 1971 after spending two years in prison.
