He is known for being the shortest fighter in MMA history, standing at just 87 centimeters and competing in the Featherweight category at under 78 kg. Williams held the record for the shortest athlete from 1979 until 2007, when surpassed by bodybuilder Aditya 'Romeo' Dev. Tragically, he passed away during training in Omaha on September 25, 1991, due to a heart impact from a punching bag.
