Charles King was an American Negro league pitcher active during the 1930s. He was born on November 9, 1912, in Roper, North Carolina. King played for the Pittsburgh Crawfords in the 1937 and 1938 seasons, and also had a stint with the Philadelphia Stars in 1938. His career was marked by participation in professional baseball during a time when racial segregation limited opportunities for African American athletes. He passed away on November 4, 1969, in Plymouth, North Carolina, just five days short of his 57th birthday.
