Charon Virginia Asetoyer, born March 24, 1951, is a prominent Comanche activist and advocate for women's health. She co-founded the Native American Community Board and the Native American Women's Health Education Resource Center. Asetoyer was appointed by President Clinton to the National Advisory Council for Health and Human Services. Her contributions have been recognized with awards such as the Woman of Vision award from the Ms. Foundation and the United Nations Distinguished Services Award.
