Born on May 18, 2000, in Farmington, New Mexico, he played for Piedra Vista High School and later at the University of Tennessee, College of Southern Nevada, and the University of Arizona. He was drafted by the Angels in the 11th round of the 2021 MLB draft and made his major league debut on May 13, 2022, becoming the first player from his draft class to reach the majors.
