Chelsea Rathburn is an American poet from Jacksonville, Florida, raised in Miami. She earned a bachelor's degree from Florida State University and an MFA from the University of Arkansas. Her poetry and nonfiction have been featured in prominent publications such as Poetry and The Atlantic Monthly. Currently, she is an assistant professor and director of the creative writing program at Young Harris College. She lives in Georgia with her husband, poet James Davis May, and their daughter. Rathburn was named Georgia's poet laureate in March 2019.
