He is a member of the bands Orphaned Land and The Secret Saints, and has previously played with From Nihil and Tales From the Morgue. Balbus has also contributed to studio recordings for the band Edenwar. He is the brother of Oren Balbus, the lead vocalist of Eternal Gray.
