Chen Kaizhong (1920–1981), originally named Chen Lihua, was a member of the Chinese Communist Party and an officer in the People's Liberation Army. Born in Meixian, Guangdong, he served as a political commissar and later, after fleeing to Taiwan during the Gu Ning Tou battle in 1949, studied at the Army Officer School. He worked at the National Security Bureau and attempted to reconnect with the Communist Party post-1969. He was captured and sentenced to death after being reported in 1981, and was executed on November 11 of that year.
