Chen Shoushan was a Taiwanese general and politician born in Taipei on February 20, 1921. Initially holding Japanese nationality, he served the Republic of China in both the mainland and Taiwan. He graduated from the Huangpu Military Academy and held several key military and governmental positions in Taiwan after 1945, including commander of the army and director of the War Department. He also directed a political training school and was an honorary president of the ICKF and KFROC. He passed away on July 2, 2009, in Taipei.
