Known as the 'Watermelon King,' he bred over 280 varieties of watermelons, including seedless and uniquely colored types. At the time of his passing, he supplied about 25% of the world's watermelon seeds. His notable achievements include founding Known-You Seed Corporation in 1968 and serving as the director of Known-You Social Welfare Foundation from 1991 until his death.
