Cheng Shifa (1921 - June 17, 2007) was a versatile Chinese artist known for his contributions to painting, calligraphy, and comic drawing. Born in Songjiang, Jiangsu, he gained recognition for illustrating stories by Lu Xun and became renowned for his traditional naturalistic paintings, particularly in landscape, flowers, and birds. A graduate of Shanghai Art College in 1941, Cheng was involved with minority ethnic themes in his work. He donated pieces to the Shanghai Painting Academy and served as its president, earning acclaim and high auction prices for his art.
