Cherwin Muringen, born Sherwin Harvey in 1969 in Paramaribo, is a Surinamese-Dutch singer and songwriter. He gained fame after winning the Soundmixshow in 1998 and the European Soundmix Show in 1999. He participated as 'Cherwin' in the finals of the Nationale Songfestival in 2004. In 2010, he won SuriPop, and in subsequent years, he toured with the SuriToppers in the Netherlands. Notably, George Baker released a song he wrote, titled 'Ready', in 2014.
