Chester Lee Johnson (1915-1997) was a Major General in the United States Army. He served in various capacities including as the commander of the 7th Infantry Division. Johnson was captured during World War II in the Philippines and held as a prisoner of war until 1945. He graduated from West Point and later studied political science at Harvard. His military career spanned several roles and locations, overseeing U.S. Army operations in Korea and South America before retiring and passing away in 1997. He is buried at West Point.
