She hails from Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, and graduated from Osaka Kyoiku University Affiliated High School. Chiaki is affiliated with the Toei Actor Center and Actor's House. She is O blood type and stands 161 cm tall. Her younger sister, Reika Kojo, is an actress and former top star of the Takarazuka star troupe.
