Napoleon 'Chico' Chism was an American blues drummer and singer, born on May 23, 1927, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He collaborated with numerous renowned artists, including Muddy Waters and Freddie King. In 1959, he released the single 'Hot Tomales & Barbeque' with his band. During the 1970s, he owned Cher-Kee Records and promoted lesser-known Chicago blues musicians. After a successful career, he moved to Arizona in 1986 and worked with several notable blues musicians until his death in 2007. He was known for his significant contributions to the blues genre.
