Chikao Kotowaka, born Haruo Kashima on April 7, 1954, in Oufuto, Mashike, Hokkaido, was a Japanese sumo wrestler. He was a member of the Sadogakure stable and achieved the highest rank of East Sekiwake in January 1979. Standing at 197 cm and weighing 139 kg during his active days, his fighting techniques included right-hand inside grip, high throw, and thrusting. He passed away on March 10, 2016.
