Chikuhō Matsumoto (born September 25, 1918 - died December 22, 2009) was a renowned Japanese calligrapher and a leading figure in contemporary break calligraphy. Born in Hakui, Ishikawa, he grew up in Shimotsuma, Ibaraki. His real name was Iwasuke. He served as president of the Eastern Association for Calligraphy Arts and as honorary chairman of the Matsumoto Calligraphy Association. He published several works and held exhibitions worldwide, receiving numerous accolades for his contribution to the art of break calligraphy.
