Throughout his career, he held various esteemed positions including councilor at the Japan Exhibition and advisor posts at several calligraphy associations. He founded multiple calligraphy organizations and was the recipient of several prestigious awards, such as the Japanese Art Academy Prize and the Order of the Rising Sun. Miyamoto is celebrated for his contributions to the art of calligraphy in Japan.
