Previously, she was the In charge North Zone for AAP Haryana. Sarwara has held significant positions including National General Secretary and Social Media Incharge for the All India Mahila Congress. She was elected as a Municipal Corporator in 2013 and contested the Vidhan Sabha election in 2019 as an independent candidate.
