Christa Jonker-Jordaan (26 September 1956 - 18 May 2011) was a South African Afrikaans writer born in Bloemfontein. She was married to Professor Gerrit Jordaan, affiliated with the Central University of Technology in Free State. The couple had four children: two sons and two daughters, as well as two granddaughters. Her debut teen novel, 'Lyf', won the ATKV-Woordveertjie award in 2008.
