She started her career in 1985 as an editor at Studio Brussel and debuted as a presenter on Radio 2 Limburg in 1988. Notable shows she hosted include Het Eerste Bedrijf, Vragen staat vrij, and En nu serieus. She faced breast cancer in 2007 but continued her career, presenting De rotonde until 2021 and later Radio2 Zintuigen until her retirement in June 2023. Van Dyck is also known for her voice on the 1000Klassiekers end-of-year list.
