Christer Petterson was a Swedish drummer born on November 3, 1942, and passed away on August 27, 2006, in Huddinge. He co-founded the 1960s band The Hep Stars with bassist Lennart Hegland in 1963. Initially starting as a trio with an unusual concert repertoire and instrumentation, the band soon became the leading rock band in Scandinavia, featuring members such as organist Benny Andersson and vocalist Svenne Hedlund.
