Christian Doumet is a French writer with a PhD in literature. He was appointed as a lecturer at the University of Grenoble in 1990 and later taught at Paris 8 University from 1994 to 2015, initially as a lecturer and then as a professor. In 2012, he became a senior member of the French University Institute and was appointed professor of French literature at the Sorbonne in 2015. He served as program director at the International College of Philosophy from 2004 to 2010 and has been a visiting professor at various universities in the US and Japan.
