Christian Rynning was a Norwegian hymn writer born on December 22, 1917, in Hornindal and died on February 15, 1973, in Grimstad. He collaborated with Lars Aanestad to publish 'Salmediktingi i Noreg' in two volumes in 1954, derived from works by his father, Paul Emil Rynning, who authored 'Norsk Salmeleksikon', published by Christian in 1967. Additionally, Rynning wrote 'Sytten salmeforsøk', released in 1972, and he is represented in both 'Norsk Salmebok' and 'Norsk salmebok 2013' with one of his translations.
