Oskar Ernst Christoffer Schildt was a Finnish journalist and the head of the Swedish-language unit at Yleisradio. He started his journalism career in 1932, serving as a radio censor during wartime and reporting on the war from 1941 to 1945 for the State Information Agency. Schildt led the Swedish-language programming unit at Yleisradio from 1957 until his retirement in 1980. Additionally, he was active in politics, serving as the chairman of the Young Swedish People’s Association and as a member of the Helsinki city council. He was the son of writer Runar Schildt.
